IT IS one down and three to go for Lymm Rugby Club’s trophy-hungry under 19s.

Capping a remarkable campaign, the Raging Bull North West Colts League champions are now preparing for three cup finals on successive weekends courtesy of their latest semi-final triumph.

And they are not the Crouchley Lane club’s only team facing a thrilling climax, with the under 17s colts and senior seconds – the latter also confirmed as champions – also looking ahead to finals.

A 22-6 defeat of Altrincham Kersal booked the under 19s team’s ticket into Sunday’s showdown with Vale of Lune as top billing in the Senior Colts League Cup Finals Day at Lymm, kick off 3.30pm.

On the same day Lymm under 17s play Glossop in the Junior Cup Final at Eccles, kick off 3.30pm.

The following Sunday both colts teams feature in the Cheshire RFU Finals, also being staged on home turf from 11am.

And the crescendo arrives on Sunday, May 10, when Lymm under 19s meet Yorkshire champions Wharfedale in the Raging Bull Cock ‘o’ The North Challenge Cup Final in Grassington.
