LYMM under 15s are celebrating another incredible year.

The club enjoyed an unbeaten season, winning their sixth Cheshire Cup, a fifth on the bounce, and witnessing a host of players receive representative honours.

Lymm won all 11 of their local fixtures, scoring more than 600 points the process and keeping a clean sheet in all but three of these games seeing a total of only 21 points scored against them.

Nick Hughes, head coach said “Lymm is a rugby village, where every house and every family supports the club and gets behind it.

“We’ve got boys who come through our youth system who are amongst the best in the country at what they do. This inspires the whole area and provides the platform for the club to grow each year.

“It doesn’t seem two minutes since December 2008 when Lymm RFC under nines were awarded Warrington Guardian Junior Sports Team of Year. ‎Michael Monaghan, recently signed by the Wolves ,presented the boys with the trophy at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

“‎Roll forward six years, as 2014 draws to a close, the boys from Lymm RFC under 15s are looking back on another outstanding year - and another unbeaten year.”

Lymm have seen 13 players representing Cheshire Central, nine Cheshire East and 11 of those will represent the county under 15s squad against Lancashire and Yorkshire in March and April.

Hughes added: “Many opposition coaches have seen the boys develop since the mini age grades but this season they say that this group of players is playing its best ever rugby.”
