De La Salle 2nd 3 Warrington 2nd 81
A 12-try display of open rugby saw Warrington’s second team stride into the quarter finals of the LBS Jug with a clinical victory over De La Salle on Saturday.
Warrington opened the scoring straight from the start when a hanging kick-off forced a De La Salle knock-on and Tony Fretwell went over from the resulting scrum.
The home side hit back with a penalty, but that would be their only score of the game as Warrington kicked on to put them into a 31-3 lead at the break.
The second period soon developed into a Warrington procession as they totted up a further 50 points without reply.
This saw winger Nathan Beasley collect a hat-trick while Cam Lewis claimed his second hat-trick of the day. Ben Hockenhull provided 10 conversions and one penalty to take his personal points total to 23.
