Injuries take toll as Lymm lose

LYMM thirds failed to build on the previous week’s first win of the season against Sandbach, suffering defeat at Wirral in Division Three South on Saturday.
The away side went down to 14 men in the first half after a suspected broken rib forced Derek Madeley to leave the field and Lymm went in one man and 15 points down at the break.
Skipper John Grant reduced the deficit for Lymm but a further injury for Lymm leaving them two men down, made the task too much and two more tries for Wirral sealed the home win.
