Rossendale 32 Lymm 28
LYMM fell short of a win but came back strong to claim two bonus points against Rossendale in National League Three North on Saturday.
The Crouchley Lane men found themselves 20-7 down at half time, a Cormac Nolan try being the only positive to a poor first period.
Rossendale extended their lead straight from kick-off in the second half but then Lymm fought back well.
Tries from Nolan and Andy Rowley brought them to within four points at 25-21.
The home side responded with a converted try before a Giles Dugdale effort converted by Nolan regained the four-point gap.
A strong finish saw Lymm pushing for the winning try but time ran out.
Lymm are at home to Cleckheaton on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
