Warrington 2nd 26 Wilmslow 2nd 5
ANOTHER win for Warrington’s second string over Wilmslow on Saturday maintains their position at the top of the Standish Media Services Division One.
Tries from Jamie Thompson, Andy Almond and Ben Hockenhull as well as three penalties from Hockenhull secured a solid win for a makeshift Warrington outfit and skipper Kev Jones is excited by the team’s potential.
“This was very much a makeshift squad today and we gained a great win against a well-drilled, bigger side,” said Jones.
“I can’t wait to see how we perform when we have a bit more stability and cohesion in the team.”
