PHIL ARCHER: PHIL Archer has now really established himself on the European Tour.

He won very close to a million Euros during 2007 and put himself well placed in the Ryder Cup standings.He played in the Seve Trophy (GB & Ireland versus Europe) where he was undefeated, gaining four points out of five and playing a major part in the team's victory.

WARRINGTON ATHLETICS CLUB U17 BOYS TEAM: HONOURS are commonplace for the Warrington Athletics Club under 17s boys team.

They won awards at each of the team events they contested during 2007, including at national level.

The team, made up of Steve Broadhurst, Danny Cliffe and Mat Jackson all year with Lawrence Walker competing with them for the first few months, were crowned champions in six events, with top-three placings achieved in three other competitions.

CHRIS BRIEN: CHRIS Brien has been involved in netball as a player for more than 30 years, representing her county and region and playing for several Warrington-based clubs, including Thames Board, Warrington Town and now All Blax.

During that time, Chris has also been an active member of the Warrington Netball League committee, taking many roles over the years, including fixtures secretary and, for at least the last 10 years, treasurer.

KEVIN PENNY: KEVIN Penny was the only Wolves player named in the 2007 Super League dream team – even though he only made 12 league appearances during the season.

The 20-year-old winger was known only by those close to Warrington Wolves at this time last year but rose to national prominence with a number of blistering displays following his full debut at Leeds on June 1.

LATCHFORD ALBION AMATEUR RUGBY LEAGUE CLUB'S YOUTH SECTION: LATCHFORD Albion's youth section is a self-governing club that is now the largest amateur rugby league club in the town.

More than 200 youngsters are involved and it is the town's leading club in the sport for ethnic minority representation, while the Warrington Ladies and Warrington Girls teams are now also on board for a stronger base and foundation.

PHIL HICKEN: THE commitment shown by Phil Hicken helps athletes to achieve results at the highest levels.

He is a member of Warrington Athletics Club's coaching staff at Victoria Park Arena, specialising in endurance events.The 45-year-old from Woolston coaches up to 25 junior, youth and senior athletes six days per week throughout the year irrespective of the weather conditions.
