The winners in the junior Sports Personality of 2007 categories were crowned at The Halliwell Jones stadium in January. The winners' details are below...

Personality of the Year
ADAM DAVIES: Adam Davies made massive progress during 2007 and is currently on a two-year scholarship with Everton Football Club. The 15-year-old goalkeeper has been with Everton for 12 months and the scholarship offer came after gaining selection for the England Under 16s Schoolboys team for the Victory Cup campaign .

Warrington Under 11s Sports Personality of the Year
JAMES GUY: James Guy had a wonderful 2007 in the pool.
He qualified for swimming's National Age Group Championships for the first time, winning six gold medals, one silver and one bronze on his way to being crowned the top 11-year-old boy in Great Britain.

Under 16s Team of the Year
LYMM HIGH SCHOOL: Lymm High School under 15s rugby union team showed their class on the national stage in the 2006/07 season.
They won the Daily Mail Cup, a competition that is entered by more than 400 schools - including all the top independent schools.
Prize: A branded sports kit c/o CIS, Tickets to a game and a club player or coach to attend a training session c/o Warrington Wolves, A day out paintballing c/o Delta Force, Trophy & Medals.

Under 11s Team of the Year
RYLANDS SHARKS UNDER 11s : Rylands Sharks under 11s rugby league team have achieved just about everything they can do at their age group.
They completed the 2006/07 season with a record of 23 wins from 26 games against teams from all over the region, although no league table is formulated by the governing body for their age group.

Competition Rules
Usual Newsquest Cheshire/Merseyside rules apply. See classified section of the Warrington Guardian for details. All entrants must fit into the criteria as specified for the category. Nominees must either live in Warrington or compete for a Warrington club, team or school. All category winners will be decided by an independent panel of judges, with the Wolves Player of the Year decided by a Warrington Guardian reader vote. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence may be entered into. The deadline for all nominations is Wednesday, November 29, 2007.
