THE winners of the junior categories in Warrington Sports Personality of the Year 2005 have been announced.

An outstanding sporting year is now capped off for the winners of the four prestigious junior awards.

Some fantastic prizes await the talented individuals and teams, who are invited to the presentation ceremony at Warrington Wolves' Halliwell Jones Stadium on January 11, 2006.

The quality of the nominations in the four categories was a credit to the standards being set in a wide range of sports in the town, with the judges having a difficult task in each section to choose the champion of champions.

But the judges finally came to the decision that Jade Llewellyn is the Warrington Under 16 Sports Personality of 2005, while Kim Schmider is the winner of the under 11 award.

And in the team categories, Lymm High School under 16s boys tennis team are crowned Warrington Sports Personality Under 16 Team of 2005, while Rylands Sharks under 10s rugby league team are honoured at under 11s level.
