PRESCOT Cables will be having nightmares after this defeat, in which two former players and a former manager returned to haunt their former club and maintain Town’s turnaround in form.

The Yellows were ahead within 10 minutes, when former midfielder Michael Reid hammered home a shot from outside of the area that would have delighted former Prescot manager and current Town boss Shaun.

The onslaught from the hosts continued and they had doubled their lead within minutes when yet another former Cable, Ash Ruane, struck to ensure his former side would be returning home empty-handed.

Town searched of a third, but could not quite replicate Saturday’s goal-fest.
