Mark Wood wrapped up the Pakistan innings early on day three at Lord’s to give England’s batsmen a chance for atonement in the first NatWest Test.

Wood had Mohammad Abbas caught behind in the day’s fifth over to bowl out the tourists for 363.

Alastair Cook hit 70 and was the only member of the top four to reach double figures as the hosts were dismissed on the first day.

Pakistan suffered a blow on Friday evening with the news that Babar Azam, who retired hurt for 68 on Friday after being stuck by Ben Stokes, is set to miss the rest of his side’s tour after an X-ray showed he suffered a fracture to his forearm, just above his left wrist.
