Moore 32 Eagle 28.
MOORE claimed the bragging rights over Eagle in an end-of-season Euromanx South Lancashire/Cheshire Three tussle.
The home side, knowing that promotion was now beyond them, struggled to get going against a big Eagle side.
But Moore scored first with Adam Lester crashing over and Hollington converting. They soon crossed again when prop Richards spun free.
Eagle crossed for two equalising tries but Hollington stroked two penalties to give Moore a six-point half-time lead.
The Thornton Road boys then scored two quick converted tries to take the advantage away from Moore.
But Moore stuck to their task and winger Johns skipped his way to the corner with five minutes left.
Then man of the match Richards doubled his tally for the season with a powerful run with seconds left to seal the points for the home side.
Eagle 2nd 5 Sefton 3rd 27.
EAGLE'S second team ended their season with a strong performance against second-placed Sefton.
Lee Graham scored Eagle's try after a strong run from Ste Leigh.
