OAKWOOD hammered nine-man Jolly Tanner 8-2 in Warrington Sunday Soccer League's Red Lion Cup Final at Victoria Park Arena.

The match was 2-2 at half time and Oakwood then took a 4-2 lead before adding four more goals after Red Lion had two men sent off.

Aaron McGuire struck four times for Oakwood with Nathan O'Gorman grabbing a brace, while Andrew Stokes and Paul Unsworth also found the net.

Former Greenalls striker Rob Hanley scored five times as Cheshire Hawthorne clinched a 6-2 win against Real Gate in the Premier Division. Dave Fisher struck Cheshire's other goal.

Dave Taylor and Ste Crotty were on target as Monk Sports defeated Moorfield Callands 2-0.

Mike Shone, Ste Edwards, Carl Greenwood and Mike Bradshaw scored as Grange Red Lion overcame Wilkies in Division One but goals from Martin Ridd and Danny McKenzie were not enough to stop Penketh and Sankey Eagle losing 3-2 to Hale.

Ex-Servicemans won 6-0 at Sandymoor in Division Two thanks to a hat-trick from Jim McKay, a Stuart Tudor double and a goal from Mark Clarke.
