GLAZEBURY clinched their first win of the year as they won by five wickets at home to Norbury in Cheshire Cricket Alliance Division Two.

Sam Stanier took 4 for 46 as Norbury were dismissed for 167 before Gary Dunlop and Dave Mason's partnership of 73 put Glazebury on course victory.

The hosts slipped from 87 for 1 to 93 for 4 but Phil McCue and David Gibson then put on a stand of 70, with McCue making 53 not out, to see Glazebury home.

Glazebury's second team were thrashed by 151 at Audlem, who posted a total of 199 for 6 despite two wickets each from Paul Charlton and Stewart Caller.

The visitors were then dismissed for just 48 as they fell to their first loss of the campaign.

Glazebury's third team lost by 108 runs at home to Leyland's Sunday team, who posted a daunting target of 185 for 3.

Wicket-keeper Jack Warhurst made 31 in Glazebury's reply but they were bowled out for 77.

Glazebury's first team travel to Radbroke Hall on Saturday, while the seconds host Eastham's first team and the third team entertain Skelmersdale in the Beardsley Cup.
