THE Critchley brothers dismantled Wirral as Stretton gained their first Meller Braggins Cheshire Cricket League Division Three win of the season on Saturday.
Stretton were put in to bat on a Wirral pitch that was barely playable but managed to put a credible total of 164 for 7 on the board.
Top scorers were Iain Hill with 42, Toby Mullins with 33 and Steve Critchley with 26.
The Critchleys stifled Wirtral's reply, skittling them out for just 38 runs with Steve taking 6 for 19 and Paul chipping in with 4 for 13.
There was another strong bowling performance in the second team's home draw with Division B leaders Wirral.
Veteran Graham Stone continued to defy the years and took 4 for 21 in Wirral's 110 for 6 in reply to Stretton's 116.
Bryan Jones was top of the scorers for Stretton with 25.
