JORDY Brouwer's double helped Liverpool Reserves clinch a 2-1 win against Manchester City in the Barclays Premier Reserve League (North) on Thursday night.
The match, which was due to take place in Warrington but was switched to Wrexham this week because of pitch problems at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, saw champions Liverpool extend their lead at the top of the table to 11 points.
Dutch striker Brouwer scored twice before half time but returning first-team striker Valeri Bojinov pulled a goal back for City, who also included goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson, in the second half.
Liverpool's final home game of the season against Wigan will also take place at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground on April 21.
