THREE Warrington bowlers are named in the starting line-up for Cheshire against Merseyside as the county team look to shake off a one-point loss against North Midlands.

Lee Johnstone, Carl Armitage, Tommy Johnstone are selected in the home clash at Beech House, Levenshulme, on Sunday, June 3, starting at 2pm.

Another Warrington bowler, Rob Lawrenson, is one of two reserves for the second match of the season in the British Crown Green Bowls Association Endsleigh Insurance Senior County Championship.

Tommy Johnstone is drawn against Tixall's Phil Lee, Armitage against New Bright's Chris Barton and Lee Johnstone against Gladstone's Nick Burridge.

Admission will be £2 for adults, £1 for pensioners and children.

The selected Warrington trio also featured in the 433-432 loss to North Midlands on May 6.

Tommy Johnstone was a 21-16 victor over Newdigate's Dane Hopwood alongside Armitage succeeding 21-18 against Atherstone Cons' Matt Horton in the 235-189 home-leg win staged at Poynton Sports.

Lee Johnstone lost 21-17 against Haunchwood's Stuart Nash at Dunlop Sports Club in Coventry.
