WARRINGTON driver Stephen Johansen is looking forward to a British GT Championship appearance at Snetterton later this month after a podium finish at Rockingham.

Amateur Johansen led off and Finnish professional Jesse Anttila wrapped up victory in the GT4 Pro-Am category.

It was only Johansen's second outing in the championship and with Antilla holds second place in the combined drivers' standings after their latest performance for UltraTek Racing Team RJN in their Nissan 370Z NISMO GT4.

"I am beaming from ear to ear," said the Warrington man.

"It was a dream to step up into the British GT, and I had my hopes set on a podium at some point this year but to do it in our second outing is a phenomenal feeling.

"The car felt mega, and the team delivered on all elements, so it was down to Jesse and me to do the rest. I gave it my all and Jesse did an amazing job to get us onto the podium."

Anttila added: "It is not possible to say a race is easy. However, the car felt fantastic and made this race one of the easiest of my life.

"The boys at RJN gave me a fantastic car and Stephen did a great job, not only in qualifying but in the race.

"He was fast, consistent and clean which made my job simple. This is my first ever podium in the British GT Championship and hopefully the first of many alongside Stephen."
