INTERNATIONAL selection and a new course record meant Warrington Athletics Club’s Dave Gill enjoyed a memorable week.
On Wednesday, Gill set a new course record for over 60s runners with a time of 18mins 41.24secs at Wirral Athletics Club’s Seaside Run 5km road race in Birkenhead.
He has also been selected to represent England in a Masters team at the Great Birmingham 10km race on May 6 alongside clubmate Steve Watmough.
Warrington athletes competed in the Trafford AC Medal Meeting and returned a raft of personal bests.
Under 15s athletes Meg Corker (75m hurdles and 100m) and Gus Schofield (100m, discus and high jump) passed their previous bests.
Evie Schofield (under 13s 75m and 150m) and Corey Beechall (100m, long jump and high jump) also lowered their marks.
