COURTNEY Chadwick’s burgeoning professional boxing career took another step forward on Saturday.
The 25-year-old former Phoenix Fire amateur won his second paid bout by outpointing 60-fight veteran Jamie Quinn in Liverpool.
Chadwick controlled the four-round fight from long range and scored cleanly throughout against his defensive-minded opponent.
Fellow Warringtonian Nathan Wheatley was also in action on Saturday night as he returned to the ring after more than a year out with a shoulder injury.
“The Wire” earned a points victory over Casey Blair in Preston to take his professional record to eight wins from as many fights.
Orford’s Danny Craven was slated to fight on the same Liverpool bill as Chadwick but his bout was withdrawn from the card late last week.
