ASHLEY Nemits continues to break new ground as she added another medal to her collection.

Nemits, who already tops the UK under 15s rankings over 300m, entered the 200m in the North of England Indoor Championships, qualifying from her heat in second place after clocking 26.72secs.

She then lowered her personal best in winning both of her next two races, registering times of 26.01secs in the second round and 25.92 in the semi finals.

Although she was not able to lower her mark further in the final, she was able to secure a silver medal with a time of 26.03secs.

In the under 13s age group, Shauna Clarke smashed her 60m personal best by clocking 8.98secs to finish second in her heat.

She improved that to 8.96secs in the semi final, but that was only good enough for sixth place.
