Walton Gardens cross country, at the start line for the primary schools' girls' race in an event organised by Warrington Athletics Club
WARRINGTON Athletics Club Schools Cross Country League presented young runners with an additional challenge yesterday - a course topped with snow for the final round.
More than 300 children from across the town's schools braved the Arctic weather conditions at Walton Gardens on courses 1.4km long and beyond.
