BEN Vickers’ hat-trick helped Warrington men’s first to an emphatic victory over West Derby’s seconds on Saturday.
Adam Garrod, Noal Philpotts and Simon Mason joined Vickers on the scoresheet to ensure a 6-1 triumph for the hosts at Priestley College.
The seconds twice came from behind to draw 2-2 against neighbours Lymm’s thirds.
Iain Richards converted the rebound for the first equaliser after Matt Petitt hit the post while Andrew Gould followed up a short corner to secure a point in the second half.
The women’s first team were up against it from the off as they faced a fast, well-drilled Bowdon side.
Some excellent saves from Tracy Jackson and goal-line clearances from Carrie Wright caught the eye, but Warrington slipped to a 5-0 reverse.
The women’s seconds fared little better as they suffered a surprise 3-0 defeat to Alderley Edge’s fourths.
