RYLANDS Sharks’ under 12s have only just finished a remarkably successful season – but they are not willing to let their momentum slip.

In fact, they have already started pre-season training ahead of the 2018 campaign as they look to emulate an astonishing haul of trophies.

The team capped off a fantastic year with a hard-fought 30-18 win over Leigh Miners in the Lancashire Cup final, which was played at Leigh Sports Village, their third trophy of the year.

Back in May, the Sharks won the Rhinos Challenge – a national tournament hosted by the Leeds Rhinos at Butlins, Skegness – for the third time in four years by seeing off teams from the north west, Yorkshire and Humberside with displays of flair and skill throughout.

Fresh from that victory, the team added the North West Counties Cup to their haul by beating Saddleworth Rangers 30-0 in July’s final.
