Lymm 66 Pocklington 0

LYMM extended their unbeaten run to 10 matches in style.

Newly promoted East Yorkshire side Pocklington will not want to repeat their first visit to Crouchley Lane in a hurry.

Lymm were buoyed by young prop Matty Hand securing his first league start and fit-again Joe Denman slotting in on the right wing after overcoming injury.

The contest was over well before the break as Lymm turned around 40-0 ahead.

Denman sprinted over in the first minute to start the ball rolling and he had another in the bag from 40 metres out three minutes later after Hand set the platform with a kick return.

On the opposite flank McEvoy joined in the fun after being put away by Nolan, who scored the next one as he benefitted from Davies’ fine narrow-side work.

Higginson, who was immense in every phase of his game, made good yards ahead of McEvoy’s second score and the winger ended the half with a hat-trick effort courtesy of Davies again setting up the opportunity.

In the second half it was the forwards who took control of the scoring.

Watson pounced on a handling mistake before shrugging off several defenders.

Higginson, Ashall and Sutherland go the other tries, with Nolan taking his personal points tally for the match to 21 with a try and eight conversions.

Lymm equalled their highest ever points total and recorded their biggest margin of victory at Northern Premier Dvision level.

Lymm: Matty Hand, Adam Bray, Dan Horton, Matty Connolly, Joe Watson, Sam Mullarkey, Ali Sutherland, Oli Higginson, Andy Davies, Scott Redfern, Joe Denman, Tom Bray, James Kimber, Richard McEvoy, Cormac Nolan. Replacements: Gavin Woods, Lucas Titherington, Jake Ashall.

Lymm have no game on Saturday.

They will be next in action against Preston Grasshoppers on November 25.
