IT was a superb weekend for Warrington Hockey Club’s men’s teams as both got back to winning ways.
The firsts were 5-1 victors over Didsbury, with Adam Garrod, Ben Vickers and Andrew Gould among the scorers.
For the seconds, Ian Watson, Gavin Brown, Mark Hooper and Matt Pettit were among the scorers as they beat Denbigh 7-0.
The women’s seconds secured a hard-fought home win over their Oxton counterparts at Priestley College and were indebted to goalkeeper Tish Edwards for making several amazing saves.
At the other end, Molly Rudd finished a good move involving Holly McCurrie and Amy Quayle to secure a 1-0 victory.
The firsts also took on their Oxton counterparts, but were on the end of a 2-0 defeat.
