Clock Face Miners A 22 Woolston Rovers A 26

PATRYK Mazur's golden-point try secured a second trophy of the season for Woolston Rovers A.

Mazur claimed a kick from Billy Maunder to score in extra time at Victoria and ensure the NWML Shield was come back with them to Monks Sports Club.

The dramatic winner was Mazur's second try of the game to go with efforts from Maunder, Scott Whiteley and Olly Parr.

Alan Johnson, twice, Luke Forber and Steve Adamson crossed for Clock Face.

“I am absolutely thrilled with the way the boys stuck at it and finally managed to get the win,” Rovers A joint-coach Andy Penny said.

“The shear guts and determination that they showed and commitment for each other is what got us home.

“We made some errors, especially in the first half, that could have proved costly but to be fair to the lads they never let their heads drop and kept on plugging away.

“Clock Face were very strong and contributed fully to what was a fantastic spectacle and both teams can be proud of the way they played.”
