CROSFIELDS had three players on show as Wales beat England at under 16s level for the first time ever.

James Machin and Lewis Hall, both of whom turn out for the club’s under 16s side, helped Wales to an 18-10 victory in Cardiff on Saturday.

Stand-off Machin and loose forward Hall kicked a conversion each as they were part of Welsh rugby league history.

Both players attend Great Sankey High School and are part of Warrington Wolves’ scholarship side.

Dean Beddall, who is on the books at Wigan Warriors, was the third Soap junior to feature as he came off the bench for England.

Woolston Rovers and St Helens youngster Jumah Sambou featured in England’s 19-man squad but was not selected for the final 17.
