FINALISTS are now confirmed in two Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Association competitions.

Tetley A and Woolston A will go head to head in the Silcock Cup showdown at Crosfields on Saturday, August 5, at 2pm.

Simultaneously at the same venue, Richmonds B will square up with Eagle Sports B in the Stan Bann Cup decider.

For Tetley A and Woolston A it will be a repeat of the 2015 final.

On that occasion Woolston were victorious by 12 chalks, with Neill Quinn the man of the match after his 21-4 win.

In the weekend's semi finals Woolston ended the hopes of St Oswalds A at King and Queen, having disposed of Viaduct and Rylands A in earlier rounds.

Tetley A, who last won the competition in 2006, overhauled Grange D at Alford Hall on Saturday.

King and Queen A and Orford War Memorial A were their previous victims.

Silcock Cup winners this century: Rylands A (2000), King and Queen A (2001, 2002, 2005, 2008,2010), Grange A (2003, 2009, 2011), St Oswalds A (2004, 2007, 2013), Tetley A (2006), Tetley B (2012), Alford A (2014), Woolston A (2015), Golborne CMC (2016).

It will be a fourth appearance in six Stan Bann Cup deciders for Eagle Sports B, who last lifted the silverware in 2012 courtesy of a 190-174 defeat of Monk Sports A.

On their last showing two years ago, they lost to Richmonds A.

They booked their latest ticket to the final with victory over Woolston B at Bulls Head on Saturday, while Richmonds B sent Stag A tumbling out at Red Lion.

Richmonds A's route to the final includes successes over Monk Sports A, Richmonds A and Crosfields, while Culcheth Sports B and Padgate Tennis and Bowls Club fell at the hands of Eagle.
