A SUPERB innings from Laura Jackson helped Appleton Tigers to a thrilling victory over Didsbury on Sunday.
Jackson's knock of 76 proved to be pivotal as Appleton won by a tight, seven-run margin.
With the Tigers batting first, Jackson was well supported by Sami Fowler and Kathryn Jackson as they posted 129-7 on a challenging wicket.
Fowler and Nathalie Long then put Didsbury on the back foot with the ball before two wickets in as many balls from Jess Lewis put Appleton in control.
Georgia Heath then took 3-10 before Fowler took the final wicket to secure victory in the last over.
Appleton travel to Stockport Trinity on Sunday.
