WOOLSTON Rovers head coach John Fieldhouse wants his side to make Monks Sports Club “a fortress” ahead of two home games in the coming week.

Rovers host Stanley Rangers on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm, before a visit from Clock Face Miners on Wednesday, kick off 7.30pm.

Back-to-back wins has helped Rovers climb into the top six of National Conference League Division Three and Fieldhouse wants his side to cement their promising position.

“We have managed to get ourselves back into a decent position in the league table with back-to-back victories,” he said.

“If we can now consolidate that with another couple of wins then it will put us back into the mix.

“We need to make our home ground a fortress. We have lost one there already this season and we cannot afford any more slip-ups if we are to reach our goal.

“We have to ensure that we turn up fully prepared for every game in this league otherwise you will come unstuck as results have shown so far.

“Stanley and Clock Face will both provide us with stiff tests. We have to be switched on from the off and compete for the full eighty minutes if we are to get maximum points.”

Meanwhile, Rovers A take a break from their league programme as they travel to Blackpool Stanley in the NWML Shield on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm.

WOOLSTON Rovers are recruiting players to join a new masters team being set up.
