PENKETH Gymnastics Club’s Mia Koll helped Cheshire and Merseyside to a victory by shining in a regional competition.
The 13-year-old was competing at the North West Team Grades and she helped Cheshire and Merseyside see off Greater Manchester and Lancashire to take the team honours.
Koll’s stunning individual performance saw her finish first individually in the vault, uneven bars, beam, floor and range categories for a total score of 62.850.
This allowed Koll, who trains at Penketh Gymnastics Club for eight to 10 hours per week, to finish a whole point above the second-placed competitor.
Meanwhile, the club are taking the exciting step of moving to a new premises.
They will now host sessions from their new base at the Guardian Industrial Estate behind Warrington Hospital after previously being based at Penketh High School.
The new facility will be open for members in mid-April and the club will hold a grand opening on Sunday, May 14, for anyone who would like a look around or enjoy a taster session.
