A DOUBLE victory ensured Warrington’s women’s second team clinched promotion and the Cheshire Women’s Hockey League Division Four title.
Molly Rudd’s hat-trick, braces from Vicky Stout and Emma Frew and one goal from Tammy Finlayson secured an 8-0 victory over Lymm’s fifths on Saturday, while a late goal from Rudd gave them a 1-0 win over Lymm’s fourths on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Steph Rawlins’ goal earned the women’s firsts a 1-0 victory over Lymm’s seconds, while the men’s seconds were beaten 3-2 against Salford University’s first team to confirm their relegation from Division Five of the North West Hockey League.
The men’s first team ended their season by losing 2-0 to Southport’s seconds.
