SEVEN Warrington AC runners competed in the English Schools' Cross Country Championships at the Norfolk County Showground in Norwich on Saturday – six representing Cheshire, one for Greater Manchester.
Highest placing individually came in the senior girls' race from Lauren Ferris, 31st, in 14mins 15secs, while in the intermediate girls India Hayes (Greater Manchester) finished 203rd with 14mins 37secs and Amy Nuttall was 256th in 14 mins 55secs.
In the senior boys' race, Jack Stubbings was 104th in 24mins 20secs, Sam Rostron 126th in 24mins 34secs and Luke Gamble 195th in 25mins 23secs to help the Cheshire team to finish sixth on 497pts. All six counting runners are still eligible next year.
Isaaq Ataullah was 142nd in the junior boys' race in 13mins 56secs.
