LATCHFORD Albion open-age team start their 2017 campaign on Friday when they host The Parachute Regiment at Victoria Park Stadium, kick off 7pm.
Following on from last season, when they were defeated 24-22 by The Army in a pulsating encounter, Albion were keen to continue the link with the armed forces with what is hoped to become an annual fixture.
With six new signings alongside some of last year's under 18s players, who have progressed to the open-age squad the game will be a stern test of Latchford ahead of the new season in the North West Men's League Premier Division following promotion.
Hot and cold refreshments as well as a licensed bar will be available in a fully covered stand for spectators to enjoy the game in comfort.
