WARRINGTON Town Reserves slipped off the top of Cheshire League One as the wet weather took out most of the weekend’s games.

The postponement of their match against AFC Macclesfield allowed Billinge to climb above them with a 2-1 win over Middlewich Town.

Fellow League One sides Daten and Grappenhall Sports were the only Warrington teams in the Cheshire League to get their games played on Saturday.

Goals from Ross Dryden and Anthony Davies gave Daten a 2-0 win over Mersey Valley, while Grappenhall were beaten by the same scoreline at home to Golborne Sports.

Cheshire League fixtures, Saturday, kick off 2pm:

Premier Division: Greenalls PSO v Wythenshawe Town, Linotype Cheadle v Eagle Sports, Styal v Rylands.

League One: Grappenhall Sports v Warrington Town Reserves, AFC Macclesfield v Daten.
