TWO players from Warrington were in action at the PDC’s Qualifying School as they sought to win one of 28 PDC Tour Cards on offer.
Garath “The Kiwi” Illidge and Josh Wills mixed it with the likes of ex-world champion John Part at the four-day event in Wigan as neither made a significant impact on the event.
After successive 5-0 first-round defeats to John Purcell and Bryan De Hoog on the first two days, Wills took a leg off Alan Jamieson during his 5-1 loss on Day Three.
He received a bye into round two on the final day and was edged out 5-4 by Robert Norster.
Illidge started the weekend with a 5-0 loss to David Fatum on Thursday and ended it with a defeat by the same margin to Chris Ware on Sunday.
