EAGLE Sports this week became the latest outfit to feel the force of Poynton.
The Thornton Road side conceded five goals in the second half of a 6-0 loss to a team that remains unbeaten since three league losses at the season’s start in August.
Adrian Kalanti came off the bench to score a hat-trick in Poynton’s 14th win in 15 games on Tuesday, leaving Eagle with the aim of trying to turn things around in time for Saturday’s crunch bottom-of-the-table clash against Styal.
League One basement side Grappenhall Sports gained a point against Lostock Gralam on Christmas Eve courtesy of a last-minute equaliser.
Sports were 3-1 down at the interval but two goals from Paul Hulmes and one from Matthew Grice earned them only their fourth point from 13 matches.
Daten tied 2-2 with AFC Macclesfield in the same division courtesy of strikes from Adam Campbell and Jack Challinor.
