WE'RE barrelling towards the end of our sporting countdown and today's entry is rather special.
For everyone connected with Warrington Town, 2016 is a year they will remember forever.
4. FOOTBALL: Promotion glory for Yellows:
After a superb campaign that led them to the brink of promotion to the highest level in their history, more than 1,400 people packed into Cantilever Park to see Warrington Town take on Prescot Cables.
A win would have been enough to seal the title and Stuart Mellish’s side responded with a crushing 6-1 victory.
Town smashed divisional records last season as they racked up a century of both goals and points in a memorable campaign.
