HALF-BACK Connor Muir scooped a treble of awards at Latchford Albion’s end-of-season preparation, but thoughts are already turning to 2017.
Muir picked up the Player’s Player, Young Player and Back of the Year awards, while the Player of the Year prize went to Dave Levenson as club ambassador and ex-Wolves man Mike Nicholas was on hand to make the presentations.
Chris Smith won Forward of the Year, while the Sammy Sixsmith award went to Geoff Bishop.
However, head coach Lee Smith, who won the Clubman of the Year prize, was keen to look ahead to the new season in which Albion will be in a higher division.
Pre-season training starts next week as the team prepare for the NWML Premier Division.
“We reached our objective of earning promotion but the hard work must continue if we want to progress and continue this fantastic journey we are on,” he said.
“The coaching staff have identified the areas we need to improve and I intend to challenge the players which will enhance the squad both as a team and also as individuals.
“I am looking forward to a full pre-season so I can continue the development of our young players as they push to make the first team in 2017.”
Training commences this week and will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, for further information contact Lee on 07490706747 or the club's website, Twitter or Facebook pages
