WARRINGTON Gymnastics Club members returned from the Cheshire and Merseyside Gymnastics competition with a massive 54 medals, with five members crowned county champions.

In the level Six Age Eight competition, Daisy Graham took first place on the vault while Sophie Thompson won the floor event, with Demi Casson not far behind in third.

Ellie Schwarze narrowly missed out on medals in the Level Six Age Nine competition but secured fifth place overall and is the reserve for the Cheshire & Merseyside team that will compete in December.

Alice Nicholson secured second overall in the Level Six Age 10 catergory with first place on both beam and floor and second on vault. Team mate Katie Gough took third overall with second place on beam and floor whilst Kelsie Seddon also took third place on beam and floor.

In Level Six Age 12+, Jenna Williams-Hill took second overall after finishing first on vault and second on bars.

In their first competition for Warrington, Lauren Pickersgill and Holly Manville also shared the second place on bars and Lauren also taking third on floor.

Daisy Clayton, competing in the Level Five Age 11 competition, secured third overall by winning on vault and floor. Kayleigh Byrne and Megan Smith were both second on vault and floor respectively.

Amelia Gregory finished second overall in Level Five Age 12, including winning on bars and floor while in Level Five Age 13, Millie Adamson was first overall with wins on bars and floor, a second on vault and third on beam.

In the juniors, Claudia Prescott won the Level Four with firsts on floor and beam. Katie Swann also performed well and took first on bars and third on vault.

Olivia Marsh was third on beam and second on bars. Claudia and Olivia will now take their place on the Cheshire and Merseyside Level Four team with Katie as reserve.

In Level Three, Lucy Swann also secured her place on the Cheshire and Merseyside teams by winning overall.

The senior section saw Mollie Benson take an overall victory in Level Four with wins on bars and beam, a second on vault and a third on floor.

It was a Warrington one-two in Level Two as Jess Adamson came first overall ahead of team mate Bethan Swann.

Jess won on bars, floor and vault and came second on beam, which was won by Bethan, who also came second on vault and floor as well as third on bars. Both Jess and Bethan take their places on the level 2 team for Cheshire and Merseyside.

Level Three Seniors saw Paige Cridland scoop wins on floor and bars and a second on vault.
