A SPIRITED team performance saw Lymm Ladies’ first team come away from their encounter with Whitley Bay and Tynemouth’s seconds with a 4-2 victory.
The visitors started well, playing at a high tempo, and it paid off when skipper Lisa Hartley-Woodrow gave them the lead.
Within minutes, their advantage was doubled when good work from Jo Hartley, Helen Weston and Aoife Davenport laid on a goal for Ruby Kelly.
The hosts pulled one back before Hartley-Woodrow netted a one-on-one for her second goal of the game.
Whitley Bay again came back to narrow the deficit, but Nat Riley’s late strike put the result beyond doubt.
The ladies’ third team were also in impressive form when they won 3-0 at Buckley in the Cheshire League.
Rachel Smith and Katy Arber were both on target in a comfortable success.
