WARRINGTON Town reserves continued apace at the top of Cheshire League One with a 6-1 thrashing of FC St Helens.
Despite their management duo of Steve Hayes and Andy McCann being pre-occupied with their caretaker duties with the first team, Town pressed on and six different players found the net on Saturday.
Dylan Glass, Josh Hayes, Liam O’Neil, Brad Smart, Rhys Bowers and Liam Lambert were all on the scoresheet for Town, who sit ten points clear of second-placed Lostock Gralam.
They travel to Middlewich Town on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
Meanwhile, Grappenhall Sports return to league action on Saturday after their excursions in the Guardian Cup when they host Egerton.
Daten are in cup action again as they visit Cuddington in the JA Walton Challenge Cup.
In League Two, Orford made it six wins out of seven as Liam McLoughlin’s double earned them a 2-0 home victory over Maine Road reserves.
They now sit fourth in League Two, five points behind leaders Broadheath Central with as many as four games in hand on the teams above them.
They host Ford Motors on Saturday, while Moore United’s return to League Two action is also at home against Unicorn Athletic.
