CHESHIRE Wire’s under 14s Green squad emerged from a tough game at Liverpool Basketball Club with a commendale 68-42 victory.
Both teams expected a tough game in Liverpool’s impressive home but the gulf between the teams was evident.
Barney Harris put early points on the board and that gave Cheshire the confidence to stretch out a comfortable advantage.
The visitors were playing some superb stuff, with a superb Michael Holce pass for Frank Wilson to convert being a particular highlight.
Finn Harrison scooped the MVP award as he posted 12 points in a highly-polished performance from Cheshire.
Meanwhile, they have added Wales under 14s international Matt Dalton to their side.
Dalton comes with an impressive CV despite a relatively short career, featuring as part of the regional performance centre programme as well as representing his country.
The team play their next game on Sunday as they travel to face Oldham Eagles, with the game starting at 5pm.
The game is a clash of the top two in the North West Regional League One, with Cheshire top of the table with three wins and a defeat from their four games.
However, their hosts have a 100 per cent record having played a game less.
