WARRINGTON boxer Nathan ‘The Wire’ Wheatley will fight for his first professional title in November.

Wheatley will face Huddersfield’s Alistair Warren on Friday, November 11, for the British Challenge Middleweight title at Manchester’s Bowlers Exhibition Centre.

The 27-year-old is up against a tough opponent in Warren, who has taken on current British champion Chris Eubank Jr in the past.

Another Warrington fighter, light welterweight Danny Craven, is also in action on the same show the former Great Britain squad member fights for the first time in the paid ranks.

Before that, Wheatley will box on a major arena card when he fights at the Manchester Arena on September 24.

His fight against an as yet unnamed opponent, is on the undercard of Manchester fighter Anthony Crolla’s WBA, WBC Diamond and The Ring Lightweight title bout against Jorge Linares.
