ORFORD stole the headlines in the Cheshire Football League on Saturday with a remarkable 11-1 victory at AFC Denton.

Daniel Wilcock stole the show by scoring five goals against League Two’s bottom side.

Stefan Bell and Liam Leicester both scored twice, while Liam Moran and George Unsworth completed the scoring.

Meanwhile, Eagle Sports’ miserable start to the Premier Division season continues. Their 5-0 reverse at Congleton Vale was their ninth in a row and they sit bottom of the table.

Elsewhere, Rylands managed a 1-1 draw at Crewe FC thanks to Jordan Rigby’s goal, while Greenalls Padgate St Oswalds were in Guardian Cup action and enjoyed a 9-1 win over Eagle JFC.

Gavin Horner grabbed a hat-trick, Alex Hardman scored twice and other goals came from Michael Evans, Glen Percival, Adam Prescott and Daniel Toone.
