BIRCHWOOD’S Simon Ince returned from a successful outing at the European Touch Rugby Championships with a well-earned gold medal.
Ince, who plays for the Lymm touch rugby side, was representing England’s over 45 team for the first time at the championships in Jersey.
England won seven of their eight matches, losing only to over 40 competition winners Wales, on their way to securing gold in the over 45 competition.
Ince also took home the coach’s player award for the tournament.
