GLAZEBURY continued their red-hot form in Cheshire Cricket Alliance Division One as they swept aside Pott Shrigley.

Captain Sam Stanier won the toss and chose to bat first, with Jack Warhurst leading the way with 46 as his partnership of 70 with Dave Acton, who fell for 36, formed the backbone of the innings as they reached 179-9 from their 45 overs.

Stanier really shone with the ball as he finished with devastating figures of 7-38.

Pott were dismissed for just 98 to seal an 81-run victory for the hosts, who travel to Saughall on Saturday.

APPLETON fell to an agonising one-run defeat to Aston, for whom Rob Draper hit 90 in a score of 165-8 at Lyons Lane.

Kanthiraj Gavaskar top scored with an unbeaten 61 in reply, but the hosts fell just short.
