WARRINGTON gymnast Lucy Stanhope has returned from a superb run of form while competing across Europe for Great Britain.
The Bridgewater High School pupil was part of the British team that competed in the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Junior European Championships and won a silver medal in the team event, with Russia taking the gold medal.
Lucy, who trains at the acclaimed City of Liverpool Gymnastics Club, competed in the beam and vault apparatus and her scores helped beat Romania to second place in Bern.
Before that, she had represented Great Britain and won gold medals in competitions in Milan and Geneva where she pitted her wits against rivals from Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany and Belgium.
