SEVEN Warrington Athletic Club runners took part in the first Trafford Grand Prix on Tuesday 3rd May, with two taking part in the British Milers Club events held in conjunction with the Grand Prix.
In the BMC 800 metres, Matt Wigelsworth ran well to finish in 2nd place in a time of 1 minute 54.77 seconds, missing his personal best by 1/10th of a second.
In the 1500 metres, Chris Fance finished in 12th place recording 4 minutes 03.05 seconds.
In the Grand Prix events at 800 metres, Under-17 Melissa Boyer finished 7th in her race recording 2 minutes 22.53 seconds.
In the Under-15 Boys 1500 metres Sam Evans finished 6th in 4 minutes 26.54 seconds with Jordan Jones recording a new personal best time of 4 minutes 30.86 seconds in 11th place.
In his race, Under-17 Jack Stubbings also recorded a new personal best time for 1500 metres, finishing 8th in 4 minutes 06.22 seconds, while Sam Rostron finished 11th in his race in 4 minutes 31.48 seconds.
In the Under-17’s 3000 metres, Katie Lowery and Lauren Ferris finished 5th and 13th in their race with times of 10 minutes 08.00 seconds and 10 minutes 27.19 seconds respectively.
